Accounts Assistant

A growing accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team near Bridgwater. This role offers hands-on experience across accounts, bookkeeping, and tax compliance, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders
Maintain bookkeeping records and assist with VAT returns
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
File statutory documents with regulatory authorities
Provide general support to the finance team
Candidate Profile
AAT qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
Confident communicator, able to manage multiple tasks
Familiar with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office
Experience in an accountancy practice is desirable but not essential
Benefits
25K - 30K dependant on experience.
