An academically ambitious state secondary in Oxford is looking to appoint a skilled Design and Technology Teacher from September 2025. The department is known for its engaging curriculum that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, including CAD/CAM and 3D printing.

The role will involve teaching KS3 and GCSE Product Design, with opportunities to contribute to the department's extracurricular provision including STEM challenges, design competitions, and practical clubs.

Main Duties:

Plan and deliver practical DT lessons aligned with national curriculum and exam board specs

Promote creativity, sustainability, and problem-solving in project work

*

Maintain a safe and purposeful working environment in the workshop

*

Collaborate with colleagues across Science and Art for interdisciplinary projects

Person Specification:

*

Degree in Design Technology, Product Design, or Engineering

*

QTS required; applications from ECTs welcome

*

Workshop safety qualifications and CAD/CAM experience beneficial

*

Confident using a range of tools, materials, and digital platforms
