Remedy are currently working with a warm and inclusive mainstream primary school in Southwark and they are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with ODD and Autism/ASD. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, tailored support and make a meaningful impact on a child's educational and emotional development.

Role Details

Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Setting: Mainstream Primary School
Location: Southwark
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 16:00pmKey Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil throughout the school day
Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement with learning
Implement agreed behaviour support strategies and individual plans consistently
Support the pupil in and out of the classroom, including transitionsThe ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting pupils with ODD and Autism/ASD, ideally within a mainstream or SEN setting, and will demonstrate a calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support.

This role is particularly well suited to individuals considering careers in SEN teaching, psychology, mental health, or educational therapy, or those seeking long-term experience in a mainstream primary school environment.
