The role also offers a meaningful pastoral responsibility as Head of Year, with dedicated non-contact time and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Science in leading the department to excellence

*

Mentor staff and lead on schemes of work and KS4 Chemistry delivery

Drive progress tracking, differentiation, and interventions

Oversee year group progress and behaviour in pastoral capacity

Lead or support science enrichment, STEM fairs, or Olympiads

Ideal Profile:

QTS and strong subject specialism in Chemistry

Experience teaching KS4–KS5 preferred

Leadership potential or prior middle leadership experience

Clear communicator and pastoral role model
