Job Title: HSE Manager

Salary: Up to £60,000

Are you a passionate Health, Safety & Environmental professional ready to lead from the front? We’re working with a leading manufacturer who is looking for a dedicated HSE Manager to champion a culture of safety and well-being across their fast-paced production site.

? About the Role:

As HSE Manager, you'll lead a small on-site HSE team and be the driving force behind the implementation of robust health, safety, and environmental practices. Your mission? A zero-incident workplace where people and the planet come first.

?️ Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of site-wide HSE policies and procedures

*

Ensure full compliance with current HSE legislation and industry standards

*

Champion risk assessment processes and lead accident investigations

*

Foster a culture of continuous safety improvement through training, briefings and engagement

*

Maintain key documentation and report KPIs to senior management

*

Ensure LOLER & PUWER compliance and audit readiness

*

Drive the ISO 14001 & 45001 systems on site

*

Identify and share best practices across departments

*

Manage HSE budgets and deliver safety-related projects on time

✅ What We’re Looking For:

*

NEBOSH/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent HSE qualification

*

3-5 years’ experience in a health & safety role, ideally in food manufacturing or a related sector

*

Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation

*

Proven experience in risk assessment and incident investigation

*

Excellent communication and leadership skills

*

A hands-on, proactive attitude with attention to detail

? Desirable:

*

Familiarity with ISO 45001 and environmental systems (ISO 14001)

*

IEMA Certificate or experience in sustainability initiatives

? Location:

This role is based in East Riding, with some travel required for group meetings and training sessions.
