Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

£37,000 - £47,000 + bonus

You’ll join a well-respected RAC Approved workshop with a great local reputation and loyal customer base. With a mix of servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and MOTs, you’ll enjoy hands-on work that keeps your skills sharp and your days interesting.

What you’ll do

This is a varied role covering MOT testing (Class 4), servicing, and mechanical repairs across all types of vehicles, including hybrids and EVs.

You’ll use modern diagnostic platforms like Bosch KTS and Autel, and work closely with a friendly front-of-house team to ensure clear communication and high standards.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll be trusted to manage jobs independently, maintain high safety and cleanliness standards, and support junior colleagues when needed.

What you’ll need

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Proven experience in diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repair

*

A positive attitude, attention to detail, and pride in doing the job right

Nice to have (but not essential)

*

Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles

*

A valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4)

*

Air conditioning (F-Gas) certification

*

RAC Warranty or RAC Approved Garage experience
