Role - Associate Building Physics Engineer

Location - Birmingham Base

Salary - Up to £65k (Negotiable)

Overview

My client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that operate on an international basis. They provide technical engineering solutions for a variety of blue-chip clients on a national and global scale. They have an established UK-based Building services team spread across 4 of their UK Offices. They are currently seeking an Associate Building Physics Engineer to work from their Birmingham office with flexibility to work hybrid or remotely.

Their current team sits around 6 with a mixture of Graduates, Intermediates and Senior Engineers. They work collaboratively across the business predominantly within the Education Sector including a variety of new build schools typically to RIBA stage 3. They also have secured worked across large schemes spanning the Healthcare & Residential Sectors as well as Net-Zero (Decarbonization) schemes.

They are now seeking an experienced Associate level Engineer to lead projects, mentor graduate/intermediate engineers on design issues and liaise with clients. Their engineers enjoy regular development meetings and pay rises as well as option to work remotely.

Role

As an Associate Building Physics Engineer, you will be expected to take the lead on Thermal/energy modelling for a variety of projects, reporting directly to the Associate Director.

Ideally you will have:

An Engineering Degree or Building services related.
8+ years' experience working or knowledge of the building services consultancy.
A Level 4 or 5 Energy Assessor accreditation (LCEA)
Experience leading projects as a Building Physics Engineer
Experience with client liaison .
Proficiency using IES-VE Software tools to generate thermal models.
Knowledge of CIBSE guidelines & understanding Part L regulations assessments
Have the right to work within the UK
