Male SEN Learning Support Assistant Required

Full time- Term time only
A long-term, full-time position is available immediately (with the view to become permanent) working with students in a special education setting.
Students here are aged 3 to 19, all with severe learning difficulties, with a range of associated needs: communication and interaction need, sensory needs, and complex learning needs.
What the Role Involves
Supporting learners with a wide range of special educational needs: severe learning difficulties, complex needs, communication challenges.
Working under individualised plans / Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Helping students regulate emotions, maintain routines and build trusting relationships.
Following all school policies, supporting safeguarding, behaviour support, and routines.
What We’re Looking For
A male candidate with experience working with children/young people with SEN in a school or similar setting.
Someone with Team Teach training (or willing to train).
Skills or knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or BSL would be advantageous but are not essential.
Ability to work flexibly, adaptively, and with commitment to supporting a diverse range of needs.
Good communication skills; patience, resilience, and empathy.

Competitive pay: £12.07 -£14.43 – per hour; working 6 hours per day (AWR compliant).
On-the-job training will be provided.
