Health & Safety Manager - Oxford

This is a great opportunity to work for a Tier 1 National main contractor, working in the Infrastructure sector delivering projects from £20m to £100m in size. Looking to grow their Health and Safety team due to additional project awards across the Central belt, with the first scheme based in Oxford.
The first project is in Oxford until January 2028, worth £40m in value, and managing a site that will have 50 professionals on site but due to the nature of the work there will be 2x shutdowns that will turn the site in to a 24/h operations for a 2 week period.
You wont be working any additional hours outside the hybrid working pattern (3 days on site / 2 days from home) but you will be checking and supporting the operational teams with the risk assessments. Following this project you will be based and support all future projects within an hour radius of Oxford.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the business complies with all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety training
Investigate incidents and carry out root cause analysis
Promote best practices and continuous improvement in SHEQ performance
Provide SHEQ support for tenders, PQQs, and project start-ups
Act as a key contact for clients and stakeholders regarding SHEQ mattersWhat We're Looking For:
NEBOSH General Certificate (Construction module preferred)
Experience within infrastructure, utilities, or a heavily regulated sector
Strong understanding of H&S legislation and civil engineering environments
Full UK driving licence
