Manufacturing Engineer

Our client based in Carlisle a leader within the manufacturing industry is looking to recruit a temporary manufacturing engineer working 40 hours a week Monday- Friday 8.00am -16.00pm.

Pay rate is £14.42- £16.83 depending on experience.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide Manufacturing Systems and process support, increase in on-time and accurate project deliverables. You will work within the operations team to ensure product manufacturing consistency and maintain standards within BOMs, drawing revisions & Processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide purchasing assistance for suppliers and log.
Organise part Numbers for Materials, Parts, Assemblies, Assy & Setup Tooling, Gauges, Document Guides
Create, process, release, transfer, update prod structure & shop orders.
Review, update, release latest issues of project plans and tracking documentation.
Standardise, update, log & issue technical information.
Prepare drawing packs and barcoded labels.
Use PMRP for inventory part transfer, product structure, VMI, Shop order requirements, generation, and shop order creation.
Create and update bill of materials.

Experience and Knowledge:

PMRP software experience e.g. IFS/SAP or similar.
Experience in manufacturing, systems, or industrial engineering.
Experience of Engineering Development Systems, Quality assurance and manufacturing planning.
Machine building, engineering administration project administration.
Systematic and goal driven, ability to break down tasks and drive results.
Work in cross functional teams with a can-do attitude.
Can read and interpret engineering drawings
