Location: Office-based with project support
Salary: Competitive + package (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded construction business that delivers a variety of construction projects across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Buyer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer with construction industry experience who is looking for long-term career progression within a great place to work that genuinely values its people.

The Role

As Construction Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting projects by managing procurement activities and ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

Procuring materials, plant, and subcontract services for a range of construction projects

Working closely with site, commercial, and project teams to meet programme requirements

*

Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing and terms

*

Ensuring orders are placed accurately and delivered on schedule

*

Monitoring supply chain performance and resolving procurement issues

*

Supporting cost control and value-for-money initiatives

*

Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation

About You

*

Previous experience as a Buyer within the construction industry (essential)

*

Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chains

*

Confident negotiating with suppliers and building long-term relationships

*

Well organised with strong attention to detail

*

Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities

*

A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
