About the Science Department

About the Role
As a Physics Teacher, you will:
• Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities for KS5.
• Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that ignite curiosity and scientific thinking.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and differentiated support.
• Contribute to curriculum design and extra-curricular science activities.
• Work as part of a supportive, energetic science team committed to collaboration and innovation.
• Engage in professional learning and staff development opportunities.
• Create a classroom culture that promotes independence and high achievement.
Qualifications and Experience
• A degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
• QTS or PGCE in Secondary Education (Science specialism preferred).
• A strong desire to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
• A commitment to high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment.
Salary
The salary will be paid to scale – MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
