Structural Engineer

We are currently working with a well-established civil & structural engineering firm seeking a Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to design-led architectural projects, restoration work, sustainable design, and conservation, as they expand their office in the Northeast.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Structural Engineer, you will:

Be actively involved in shaping and supporting the development of the Newcastle office and its regional growth.
Perform structural design calculations and markups.
Manage project delivery, maintaining regular communication with project team members and senior management.
Work closely with technicians to support drafting of designs.
Attend site meetings, design team sessions, and meetings with clients.
Undertake structural surveys and inspections, preparing detailed reports.
Produce cost estimates for projects and prepare fee letters.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.Candidate Requirements

A degree (BEng or MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Either achieved chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (ICE or IStructE).
Some relevant work experience in a structural / civil engineering context.
Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and good organisational skills.On Offer.
