Vehicle Technician

Salary: £30K - £48.8k OTE (dependent on experience)

Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 42.5 hours. Every one in three Saturdays paid as overtime

Location: Guildford

Job Purpose:
To maintain, inspect, repair and test customers’ vehicles to the prescribed standards in accordance with the Department for Transport, manufacturer and Operator licence Criteria.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

* Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards

* Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control

* Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work

* Maintaining thorough and up to date product knowledge

* Replacing components

* Speaking with customers on occasion to provide your expert, technical opinion

* Using specialist equipment such as electrical and electronic diagnostics

* Engine tuning equipment to measure performance

* Rectifying faults on customer’s vehicles in a busy workshop

* Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals
