Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant

Job Description: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Working closely with our EYFS teachers, you will assist in the delivery of a play-based curriculum that fosters children's social, emotional, and academic development.

Responsibilities:

Support EYFS teachers in planning and implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where children feel secure to explore and express themselves.
Provide individualised support to children, helping them develop key skills such as communication, language, and early literacy and numeracy.
Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, and independence through hands-on activities and play experiences.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to support children's progress and well-being, providing regular feedback and updates.
Assist with the observation and assessment of children's learning, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the evaluation of teaching and learning strategies.
Support the implementation of EYFS policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines and safeguarding practices.Requirements:

Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting, preferably as a teaching assistant or nursery practitioner.
A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for young children.
Knowledge of the EYFS framework and principles of child development, with the ability to adapt activities to meet the individual needs and interests of children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with young children.
Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education) would be advantageous but not essential.
