This is a Field Service Engineer role with a global machinery manufacturer, working remotely with access ideally between York and Lincoln. You'll be part of a UK-wide engineering team reporting to the Service Coordinator in Hull, and the job involves extensive travel across the UK and occasionally internationally.
The position is full-time with a base salary of £40,000+ OT, Van and Ipad, training, generous benefits including an 8% employer pension, 25 days holiday, and more.
Experience:
*
Servicing and assembling mechanical drive components like gearboxes and bearings (large industrial scale).
*
Mechanical engineering background, ideally with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
*
Experience in heavy industrial environments.
*
Lifting, slinging, and handling components up to 5 tonnes.
*
Experience in or exposure to feed milling, biofuel, or waste processing industries is a plus.
*
Welding/fabrication and confined space training are advantageous.
*
Practical knowledge of hydraulics and basic electronics desirable.
Skills:
*
Capable of conducting preventative maintenance programs.
*
Physically fit – can lift at least 25kg unaided.
*
Proficient with MS Office.
*
Must be service-minded and customer-focused.
*
Strong communication and coordination skills with a proactive approach.
*
Flexible working hours and willing to travel.
*
Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) is essential.
