Hours: Full Time, Monday–Friday, 8:45am–3:30pm
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour (competitive)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners?
A warm and welcoming Primary School in the Longridge area of Preston (PR3) is seeking a dedicated KS1 General Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2026.
About the Role
You will be working within a Key Stage 1 classroom, supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and helping pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a full-time, long-term position suited to someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and confident working with younger primary-aged children.
Key Responsibilities
Providing in-class support to the teacher and pupils
Delivering small-group interventions where required
Assisting with classroom organisation and learning resources
Supporting the learning and welfare of all children
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
Essential: Experience working within a Primary School setting
Previous KS1 experience desirable but not essential
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine desire to support children's learning and development
Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am–3:30pm
