Our Legal 500–recognised client is seeking an experienced Private Client Legal Assistant with strong administrative and organisational skills. A solid understanding of wills and probate and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities for this Private Client Legal Assistant role?
Responding to enquiries from clients, solicitors, and other parties
Keeping clients updated and tracking case progress
Opening and closing files on the case management system
Drafting basic correspondence and documents under supervision
Submitting and registering legal forms with the Probate Registry, Certainty, and HMRC
Managing the storage, security, and release of Wills, LPAs, Grants of Probate, and related documents
Maintaining contact databases and calendars
Monitoring deadlines and managing appointments and diaries
Conducting searches and registering Wills with Certainty
Preparing bills, processing payments and receipts, and liaising with the finance team
Preparing estate accounts using Excel
Handling incoming client calls and providing reception cover
Preparing and delivering banking and post
Carrying out general administrative duties
Undertaking additional tasks to support the smooth running of the office
