Occupational Therapist – Single-Handed Care Review Project
Location: Shropshire
Rate: £31.97 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Shropshire Council’s Single-Handed Care Review project. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with over 5 years of experience to make a real difference in the lives of adults across Shropshire.

Role Overview:
You will undertake 10 single-handed care assessments per week, evaluating existing care packages and recommending suitable equipment to reduce reliance on carers. Your input will enhance client independence and overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct 10 single-handed assessments per week.
Order and manage equipment needs in line with Care Act (2014) requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Adult Social Care team to review and update support plans.
Support clients to achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.Requirements:

Over 5 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Expertise in Care Act-compliant OT assessments.
Strong knowledge of single-handed care principles and equipment provision.
