My client is a leading manufacturer of thermocouples and high temperature sensors and measurement equipment based in Sheffield. They are now looking to hire an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to bolster their in-house team. The ideal candidate will come from a proven Technical Sales background, have experience in both winning new business and nurturing key accounts, be capable in producing estimations and quotations and will ideally have existing thermocouple / temperature sensor knowledge.

Technical Sales Engineer Job Overview

Building and maintaining relationships with a range of customers
Identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions and accurate quotations
Developing proposals, including cost estimations and technical documentation
Providing in-depth technical guidance on company products
Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, both as pre- and post-sales support functions
Maintaining comprehensive records of customer interactions, solutions offered and sales progress.

Technical Sales Engineer Job Requirements

Previous experience in Technical Sales is essential
Knowledge of Engineering standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and AMS 2750
Strong negotiation, Customer engagement and account management skills
Proficient in delivering presentation and product demonstrations
A familiarity with using a CRM system as well as Microsoft Office
Knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial
Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield

Technical Sales Engineer Salary & Benefits

Salary £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays
Monday - Thursday 08:15 - 16:45, Friday 08:15 - 14:15
