Every day will bring something new. One day you may be managing deliveries, placing orders, or scheduling rotas to ensure operational efficiency. The next day could see you leading team briefings, coaching staff, resolving customer queries, or conducting till spot checks. All the while, you’ll be focused on achieving the bigger goals: maximising sales, minimising costs, ensuring outstanding customer service, and driving operational performance.

This is not a desk-based role — it’s a hands-on manager position where you’ll be expected to lead by example, roll up your sleeves, and get involved in the day-to-day running of the store.

What We’re Looking for in a Store Manager

We’re looking for an experienced people-manager from a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Your background could be in:

* Food retail

* Hospitality

* Distribution/logistics

* Or even the Armed Forces

What matters most is your ability to inspire and lead a team, stay calm under pressure, and deliver consistently strong results.

Store Manager Key Responsibilities

* Leading, motivating and developing a team to deliver excellent customer service

* Managing stock, deliveries, and ordering processes

* Planning rotas and managing labour costs effectively

* Driving sales performance and ensuring targets are met

* Handling customer queries and resolving issues quickly and professionally

* Carrying out spot checks and ensuring compliance with company standards

* Taking responsibility for operational efficiency and cost control

Store Manager Skills & Experience Required

* Proven management experience in a fast-paced environment

* A natural leader who can inspire and coach teams to success

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Commercial awareness with a focus on driving sales and reducing costs

* A hands-on, practical approach with the ability to adapt to different tasks
