Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Commissioning Test Team Leader to oversee and execute on-site commissioning activities. This role ensures that all testing is conducted safely, accurately, and in compliance with approved procedures. You will play a key role in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise on-site commissioning activities to ensure safety and compliance.
Review and validate commissioning documentation and Safe Systems of Work.
Ensure adherence to approved commissioning procedures and coordinate with other work parties.
Attend site planning meetings and contribute to commissioning strategy.
Manage the application and removal of Temporary Commissioning Aids.
Identify and report system defects or unexpected behaviors; escalate to the Commissioning Manager or Engineering Support.
Halt activities and initiate safety protocols in the event of uncertainty or incidents.
Ensure post-commissioning plant configuration aligns with documentation or agreed standards.
Maintain a safe and controlled environment during all commissioning phases.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience with Siemens PLC and SCADA systems.
Strong understanding of control panels, electrical installations, and instrumentation.
Demonstrated experience in testing and on-site commissioning.
Excellent awareness of Health & Safety standards - SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
CSCS card or equivalent - essential.
Desirable Experience
Familiarity with Plant Historians and network design/configuration.
Knowledge of Cyber Security and Functional Safety.
Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC, etc.
