SEND Tutor Required - Trafford

We are an SEND school in Trafford seeking experienced and compassionate SEND tutors to work with our pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.

Our pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

ADHD

Moderate to complex learning difficulties

Speech, language, and communication needs

Social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH)

The role will involve:

Delivering personalised, needs-led tutoring aligned with EHCP targets

Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy, functional skills, and life skills

Using calm, structured, and trauma-informed approaches

Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff

Adapting learning to meet individual needs and promote engagement

The successful candidate will:

Have experience working with children or young people with SEND

Be patient, flexible, and nurturing in their approach

Have strong behaviour support and communication skills

Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS

Be available during the school day (term time)
