Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a leading provider of educational support, we are committed to ensuring every child receives the care and assistance they need to thrive in their learning environment.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have a diverse range of needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), non-verbal communication, and require assistance with personal care. Your role will be pivotal in providing tailored support to facilitate their educational journey and enhance their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to pupils with complex needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement in learning activities.
Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support, in accordance with individual care plans and school policies.
Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to implement personalised learning strategies and promote inclusive practices within the classroom.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting independence, self-esteem, and social interaction.
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, behaviour, and any incidents. Requirements:

Previous experience in a care home setting would be considered advantageous.
Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.
Possession of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
