SEN Teaching Assistant

Teach Now is working in partnership with a progressive, inclusive primary school in Brent, North West London, to recruit a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Starting from September 2025, this long-term role offers a unique opportunity to support pupils who need tailored emotional and behavioural support to succeed in school and beyond.
About the Role:
• Support individual pupils with diagnosed SEMH needs across Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and personalised learning interventions.
• Collaborate closely with SENCOs, class teachers, and external professionals.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
About You:
• Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs (essential).
• Training in areas such as Team Teach, trauma-informed practice, or mental health first aid (desirable).
• Empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting emotional development.
• Committed to upholding safeguarding and inclusivity at all times.
