Job Title: Painter / Plasterer - Damp & Mould Contract
Location: Barnsley
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
08:00 - 16:00 (8 hours per day)

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Painter / Plasterer to join our team in Barnsley, working on a dedicated Damp & Mould Contract. The role will involve carrying out mould treatment, damp preparation works, plaster repairs, and internal painting & decorating within residential properties.

This is a hands-on role requiring high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills when working in occupied homes.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out mould removal treatments and applying anti-mould coatings

Preparing and treating damp-affected surfaces

Internal painting and decorating

Minor plastering and patch repairs

Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard

Accurately recording works using a PDA / smartphone

Adhering to all health & safety regulations

Essential Requirements

City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting & Decorating

CSCS Card

Asbestos Awareness (UKATA or IATP approved)

Face Fit Certificate

DBS Check

Full UK Driving Licence (must be able to drive)

Ability to confidently use a PDA / smartphone for job updates
