Senior Planner

Location: Bristol

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a top 25 UK property consultancy, in their search for a Graduate Planner. Working with clients locally, regionally and nationally they add value at every stage of the property life cycle using a multidisciplinary approach

Candidates will:

Be qualified, preferably at, or near to, membership of the RTPI, with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience either within the private or public sector.
Possess a passion and sound understanding of planning, development and environmental issues.
Have a good working knowledge of at least one of the planning systems operating in the UK.
Be positive and have a can-do attitude. You should be resilient, organised, proactive and be hardworking.
Have demonstrable experience of the planning process including the preparation and submission of applications and appeals.
Have excellent report writing skills and experience of delivering recommendations on a range of planning applications.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate challenging concepts in an 'easy-to-understand' way.

What does the role involve?

As a Senior Planner this key role will support, and mentor the junior planners as well as supporting the partners to service client work.
