Finance/Accounts Administrator

My client is a dynamic and reputable legal firm committed to delivering exceptional client service. The team values precision, professionalism, and collaboration. As they grow, they are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join the finance department and contribute to the company’s success.
Reports to Finance Manager
* Accurately record and process client and office transactions, ensuring that all payments and receipts are allocated correctly.
* Process client and office payments, including cheques, bank transfers, and credit card transactions.
* Process and allocate receipts against client invoices and monitor outstanding balances.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client and office accounts in compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority Accounts Rules.
* Maintain accurate records for VAT returns and other regulatory filings, as required.
* Monitor and ensure that client funds are handled in compliance with the firm's regulatory obligations, including regular reconciliation of accounts.
* Transfer client monies to/from deposit account.
* Perform daily banking duties, including depositing client funds and handling bank reconciliations.
* Assist with the preparation and processing of payments to third parties, such as suppliers and vendors.
* Identify and investigate any discrepancies in financial records and ensure timely resolution.
* Assist with audits and internal financial checks to ensure all transactions are properly documented and accounted for.
* Liaise with external parties, such as banks and other financial institutions, to resolve any account-related issues.
