Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing - St Helens
An advanced engineering company specialising in high-performance materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of its manufacturing equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Respond to breakdowns, carry out fault finding, and complete necessary repairs.
Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and modification.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and inventory.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain 5S workplace organisation.
Requirements:
NVQ, ONC, C&G, or equivalent apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a maintenance environment.
Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow safety procedures and perform risk assessments.
Clear communication and effective teamwork.
Desirable:
3+ years' post-apprenticeship experience.
Forklift or IPAF licence.
