Active Staff are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected manufacturing company, currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing who is ready to take the next step in their career with progression opportunities. As Production Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You’ll be responsible for supervising a team of operators and welders, ensuring work orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest quality standards.

The Role of the Production Supervisor:
* Allocate daily tasks to operators/welders based on production schedules.
* Issue and close work orders using the MRP system.
* Supervise and monitor team performance in line with work instructions.
* Meet and exceed assigned production targets.
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies.
* Oversee first-off/test requirements as per control plans.
* Liaise with the production planning team for timely order delivery.
* Provide cover for other supervisors during leave.
* Support quality improvement and address non-conformance issues.
* Identify and report product or process issues.
* Motivate and lead the production team effectively.
* Organise equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
* Monitor performance and timekeeping of staff.
The Person for the Production Supervisor:
* Computer literate, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook).
* Strong understanding of MRP systems.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
* Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or IATF16949 quality standards.
* Excellent planning and time management skills.
* Hardworking, enthusiastic, and motivated.
* Eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality.
* Ability to delegate and manage team workloads.
* Flexible and willing to work on the shop floor when required
