About the Role
As a Science Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to specialise at KS4 depending on your strengths.
• Planning and delivering engaging, interactive, and differentiated lessons tailored to all learners.
• Supporting student achievement through high-quality marking, feedback, and target-setting.
• Participating in curriculum development and resource creation within the department.
• Maintaining a safe, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment in the science labs.
• Engaging in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular clubs, trips, and assemblies.
• Working closely with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching outcomes.
• Attending training and CPD opportunities to support your professional growth.
Experience and Qualifications
• A Science-related degree
• QTS or PGCE qualification in Science
• Passion for your subject and a commitment to student success
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team
Salary
The salary for this Science Teacher role is in line with the national pay scale – MPS/UPS.
