ABC Teachers are seeking experienced Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in an SEN School in Bromsgrove on a full-time basis.
To support the teaching and learning of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), contributing to a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which children are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role:
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and EYFS team to deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
Provide individual or small group support, including for children with SEND, EAL, or additional needs.
Promote children’s learning through play-based and child-initiated experiences.
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress using agreed tools and contribute to learning journals/online systems (e.g., Tapestry).
Support the implementation of individual learning plans (IEPs/EHCPs) where appropriate.
Help maintain a welcoming, stimulating, and well-organised learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers, sharing information about children’s achievements and wellbeing.
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of children, following school policies and procedures.
About the School:
A Specialist school based in Bromsgrove for children and young people aged from Reception to post 16 with moderate to complex needs with the aim of providing high quality education.
Children have a range of diagnoses and special needs, including moderate learning difficulties, and/ or Social Emotional Mental Health issues.
Providing a safe, positive, stimulating and challenging learning environment where all pupils’ needs are identified.

About you:-
Extensive experience working in Early Years settings, with a clear understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
Hold a relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, Early Years Educator status, or equivalent).
Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
Confidence in supporting children’s emotional regulation and communication needs.
Understanding of EYFS principles, child development, and inclusive education practices.
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
Confidence in supporting children’s emotional regulation and communication needs.
