SALES ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Our client is a are a family-owned and family-run horticultural business and one of the UK’s leading growers and wholesalers. The original owners studied horticulture and worked in a variety of nurseries before setting up for us in 1983 on a nine-acre greenfield site in West Oxfordshire, well placed between Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage, Banbury, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Swindon on the Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire border. They produce over 330,000 plants every year including around 50,000 lavenders. Since the beginning, they have invested money in cutting edge technology and time in extensive trials.

Duties
• Sales quotes for wholesale and trade customers.
• Be able to deliver appropriate strategies to improve sales.
• Responsible for the ordering of products as per seasonal requirements and liaising with suppliers.
• Working in conjunction with the Production Team.
• Maintaining customer relationships.
• Focussed on providing a great customer experience.
• Supporting the existing Management team to achieve strong and effective working relationships.

Experience
• Strong Horticultural knowledge.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with team members.
• Committed and hardworking you will be driven to exceed sales and increase profitability, whilst supporting other departments in striving for the overall success of the business.

The ideal candidate

· Come with contacts or willing to create them

· Must be organised

· Know their way around plants

· Able to bring in new business and maintain current business.

· Sell wholesale plants to other nurseries (work with new customers to generate new sales) and larger landscaper business

Hours 1 in 3 weekend in addition to 1 in 3 Saturdays retail sales. (Currently this is between 10am-2pm)
