Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Customer Service Advisor to work with a North Yorkshire local authority on a temporary contract. This is a full time position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

This role will be based within a busy customer contact environment and will focus on handling a high volume of telephone enquiries relating to the commencement of the annual Garden Waste subscription service. The post holder will be the first point of contact for residents and will be expected to deliver a professional, efficient and customer focused service at all times.

Main Duties:

* Handling inbound telephone calls from residents regarding Garden Waste subscriptions

* Providing clear and accurate information on service commencement, renewals and payments

* Updating customer records accurately using internal systems

* Resolving queries at first point of contact where possible

* Escalating complex enquiries in line with internal procedures

* Delivering a high standard of customer service in a fast paced environment

Essential Criteria:

* Previous experience within a customer service or call handling role

* Strong telephone communication skills

* Ability to manage a high volume of calls effectively

* Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems

* Professional and customer focused approach
