Description

We are recruiting a Multi-Trade Operative for a local government client in North London, to undertake building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements across a range of trade disciplines, including routine reactive repairs and large-scale programmed refurbishment.  Competent to a professional standard in both quality and output in disciplines: - Plumbing/Carpentry/Plastering/Electrical and Part P/P/Tiling/Painting & Decorating/Gas Safe:

Responsibility

Able to work on void housing properties and other premises, following best trade practice and to current standards and regulations.                                                                                                                                                           

Essential Qualifications

GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.

Completed apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ qualification or demonstrable time served experience.

Experience across a range of trades, carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering and tiling. Etc.

Full clean UK driving licence

Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Tested at Shortlisting.

Proven ability to undertake all aspects of building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements within the skill set.

Can demonstrate experience in routine reactive repairs to major renewals of installations in occupied and void properties.

Able to identify and diagnose the causes of building faults and defects, and the most appropriate solution to be applied.

Able to take account of the need to reduce repeated faults and visits and ensure the most cost-effective solution under the circumstances.

Must be able to complete all repairs “Right First Time and to a high standard of quality.

Must be able to ensure that safe working methods and full compliance with health & safety regulations are always met.

 Able to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current standards, principles and best practice appropriate to your specialist trade.

Able to complete all documentation required for the proper running and administration of the service, including daily work records, timesheets, material schedules, requisitions and the like.
