Product Owner – Engineering Software (London)

We’re now seeking an experienced Product Owner to play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy and driving delivery. The Role

In this role, you will:

Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap in line with strategic objectives.

Gather and analyse requirements from users and subject matter experts.

Create and maintain a clear product backlog of features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

*

Prioritise development work to balance user needs, business goals, and technical considerations.

*

Partner with engineering teams to refine requirements, support planning, and validate delivery.

*

Act as a visible champion for the product, ensuring users’ needs remain central to decisions.

*

Manage UAT and sign-off for new features, ensuring quality outcomes.

*

Provide progress updates and insights to managers and senior stakeholders.

About You

We’re looking for a hands-on, technically minded product professional who thrives on solving complex challenges. You’ll be confident working with both technical and non-technical audiences, with a strong track record of translating big-picture strategy into well-defined deliverables.

Essential experience:

*

Proven background as a Product Owner (or similar role) in software development.

*

Familiarity with engineering or technical software products.

*

Experience with cloud-based SaaS products.

*

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

*

Skilled at backlog management, prioritisation, and requirements gathering.

*

Detail-oriented with a structured, methodical approach.

Desirable experience:

*

Exposure to engineering, industrial, or manufacturing software domains (e.g. Automotive, Robotics, Aerospace, Defence).

*

Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations to mixed audiences.
