Senior Housing Officer

Location: Follaton House, TQ9 5NE

Start Date: ASAP                                               

Contract Duration: 2+ months

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 17.18 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the Council's residential properties.

Oversee tenancy agreements and handle repairs.

Monitor rent payments and manage minor arrears.

Conduct regular property inspections for safety and maintenance.

Support tenants in moving from temporary to permanent housing.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Experience in housing management, preferably in social or temporary housing.

Skills in supporting vulnerable individuals and understanding homelessness challenges.

Knowledge of tenancy laws and health and safety regulations.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to handle disputes and provide clear advice.

Capability to work independently and manage properties efficiently.

Proficiency in IT and various systems.

Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

Nice to Have

Experience in maintaining accurate records and safeguarding notes.

Resilient approach to working with clients with complex needs.
