The role –SEN Teaching assistant

The successful SEN Teaching assistant will support children and young people aged 2-19 who have autism and social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Providing one-to-one or small group support to students, assisting with learning tasks and promoting their inclusion in classroom activities.
Build a trusting and positive relationship with students and communicate according to their understanding.
Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to students, parents and carers about their progress, achievements and any potential issues.
Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to implement individualised education plans and behaviour support strategies.
Develop independence and communication skills to ensure meaningful outcomes for all students.
