TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive 3-form entry primary school with a large, well-established SEN provision. The school is committed to providing high-quality support for pupils with additional needs and offers a structured, nurturing environment where children are supported to reach their full potential.

Due to an increase in pupil needs, the school is looking to appoint three experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support within the SEN provision.

he successful candidates will work closely with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and may display challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, enabling them to access learning and develop positive behaviours.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 SEN support to pupils with ASD

Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies

Assisting pupils with access to the curriculum and classroom activities

Working collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and support staff

Implementing behaviour support plans and individual education plans (IEPs)

Creating a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
