Administrator
Location: Smethwick, Staffordshire
Contract: 24 months
Rate: £25 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–3:30pm (35 hours/week)
Role Overview:
A new opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join a leading main contractor specialising in Rail, Construction, and Civil Engineering. You’ll play a vital supporting role in the delivery of key projects, providing technical and clerical assistance to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support with reports on business performance, work programmes, and improvement initiatives
Locate and collate data, records, and documents as needed
Create and manage Excel spreadsheets to track project costs and budgets
Support Health & Safety file creation and maintenance
Assist the Senior Project Manager (SPM) with monthly business review presentations
Take and track minutes and actions from key meetings
Conduct fire and safety equipment checks
Scan and file delivery and collection documents
Email briefing documents to relevant internal/external stakeholders
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. formulas, data tracking)
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
