Maintenance Engineer - St Albans

Full-time | Monday–Friday | Overtime available

A great opportunity for an experienced Depot Electrician / Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and supportive depot team. You’ll carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations, along with general engineering support to keep equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, wiring, and depot machinery.

* Diagnose faults and complete reactive and preventative maintenance.

* Support general building, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs.

* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and IET Wiring Regulations.

* Complete maintenance logs, reports, and electrical testing certifications.

* Work collaboratively with engineers, depot staff, and contractors.

Requirements

* Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent.

* 17th or 18th Edition (BS 7671).

* PAT Testing preferred.

* Strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience (industrial/depot ideal).

* Ability to read technical diagrams and work independently.

* Safety‑focused, organised, and proactive.
