Salary: £40,000 basic per year
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:00am – 3:30pm)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm, Immediate Start
Overtime: Available

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Fitter to join our busy workshop in the Newcastle area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable organisation, supporting the maintenance and repair of HGVs and plant equipment. The role offers long-term potential with a temp-to-perm pathway.

You will play a key role in keeping our fleet and equipment in safe, fully operational condition, ensuring our operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general repairs, servicing, and maintenance on HGVs

Assist with repairs and servicing of plant equipment as required

*

Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards

*

Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues promptly

*

Support the workshop team to meet operational deadlines

About You

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced fitter who can work efficiently in a busy workshop environment:

Qualified HGV/Plant Fitter

*

Reliable with excellent timekeeping

*

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

*

Able to work independently and as part of a team

*

Flexible and willing to assist across different types of vehicles/equipment as needed
