Streetworks Coordinator - Milton Keynes
About the Role
We are looking for a Street-works Coordinator to lead and support the management of highway works under the company’s statutory undertaker licence. This role offers the chance to work in a proactive, collaborative team, liaising with internal teams, contractors, local authorities, and developers to ensure compliance, efficient coordination, and timely delivery of projects across the network.
You will play a central role in ensuring statutory compliance under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), supporting project delivery, and providing guidance and administrative support across Streetworks activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee processes and procedures for work within the highway under a statutory undertaker licence
Support internal and external stakeholders in submitting applications via Aurora, Symology, and Gov Portal
Implement and maintain processes to monitor operator competency and manage approvals
Provide evidence and information for stage/gate processes, highlighting issues or escalations
Coordinate pre-award kick-off meetings and confirm street works requirements
Manage highway permits and notices, including planned, unplanned, and emergency works
Serve notices, submit applications, and monitor reinstatement audit failures where required
Liaise with highways authorities, ICPs, contractors, and developers to coordinate works and access
Produce management reports and track performance against Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs), Section 74 fines, and improvement actions
Maintain registers of approved NRSWA contractors and update internal systems
Provide administrative support including logging design and as-built submissions and raising MPANs About You
Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet business requirements
Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently or under supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office and document filing systems
Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with clients, suppliers, and the public
Knowledge of NRSWA legislation in England, Wales, and Scotland (HAUC & RAUC) Part-Time | Remote (UK) | Occasional Travel to Sites
Salary: Circa £33,000 per annum
