Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Building Services

£45,000 + Benefits
Location: Cambridge
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established building services team on a static site in Cambridge, working directly with the client. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys a steady Monday–Friday schedule and values the stability of a single-site role.

The Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all mechanical systems on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant, including HVAC, pumps, valves, pipework, and heating/cooling systems.

*

Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical building services equipment.

*

Supporting statutory compliance and record keeping.

*

Liaising with the client daily, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

*

Working collaboratively with on-site facilities and building services teams.

What We’re Looking For

*

Recognised mechanical trade qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent).

*

Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within building services (static or mobile).

*

Good knowledge of HVAC, boilers, pumps, and associated plant.

*

Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently.

*

Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
