FRA Carpenter Manager / Supervisor – Passive Fire Protection

We are seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter Manager / Supervisor with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection to manage and deliver fire safety remediation works across social housing and residential properties.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor (FRA), Supervisor, or Passive Fire Protection Manager with a carpentry trade background, who can confidently oversee fire door installations, maintenance, fire stopping, and compartmentation works on multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, manage, and coordinate teams of carpenters and subcontractors across multiple projects and sites.
Oversee fire door installations, remedial works, inspections, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
Manage and monitor fire stopping and compartmentation works in line with FRA requirements.
Ensure all works comply with current fire safety legislation, building regulations, and third-party accreditation standards (e.g. BM Trada, FIRAS).
Carry out quality inspections, audits, and sign-off of completed works.
Review and manage RAMS, deliver toolbox talks, and ensure strong Health & Safety compliance at all times.
Liaise professionally with clients, residents, housing officers, and internal project teams to ensure smooth delivery within occupied properties.
Complete site reports, compliance documentation, and photographic evidence using the company’s digital systems.Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a Supervisory or Management role within FRA remediation, passive fire protection, or fire door works.
Strong carpentry background (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred).
Excellent knowledge of fire door standards, passive fire protection, fire stopping, and compartmentation.
Solid understanding of current fire safety regulations and British Standards.
Experience working within social housing and occupied properties is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications such as FIRAS, BM Trada, IOSH, or NEBOSH are highly regarded.
Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills, with confidence using digital reporting systems.
Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided where applicable).What We Offer
