Project Estimator
£35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Saffron Walden, Essex
Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 40 hours per week
 
An established and growing engineering business is looking for an experienced Project Estimator to join its team.
 
This is a varied, hands-on role offering the chance to work on interesting technical projects across multiple sectors, both in the UK and internationally.
 
You'll be part of a supportive, knowledgeable team and will play a key role in turning client enquiries into accurate, commercially sound project estimates.
 
The Role

Responding to new enquiries and understanding client requirements
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
Preparing accurate cost estimates with input from design, planning and installation teams
Assessing financial, delivery and H&S risks within tenders
Acting as a key point of contact for clients and contractors during the tender stage
Attending meetings (in person and online)
Supporting the development of estimating systems and cost libraries
Assisting with general sales and marketing activity where needed Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years' estimating experience
Strong understanding of the estimator's role and responsibilities
Comfortable working to tight deadlines across multiple projects
Ability to interpret construction or electrical drawings and specifications
Highly organised with excellent time management
Clear and confident telephone manner
Strong numeracy and commercial awareness
Marketing experience beneficial but not essential
You must have a current British passport
Full UK driving licence Personal Qualities
