Are you an experienced maintenance professional ready to take on a leadership role within a fast-paced, quality-focused Fresh Produce business?
This is an excellent chance to join a well-established team as an Assistant Maintenance Manager. You will support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring machinery, equipment, and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
In this role, you will help coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance programs, lead and develop the maintenance team, and uphold compliance with health, safety, and legislative standards to support the ongoing success and growth of the site.
Assistant Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities
* Plan and oversee maintenance of machinery, equipment, and buildings
* Lead and train the maintenance team to ensure quality repairs and efficiency
* Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and preventative maintenance
* Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
* Maintain health and safety standards with proper risk assessments
* Provide cover for the Maintenance Manager when required
* Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost control
* Keep accurate maintenance records and assist with budgets
* Support site hygiene and safety, reporting concerns promptly
Assistant Maintenance Manager Key Requirements
* Experience in maintenance or engineering roles, within food manufacturing or fresh produce sectors
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
* Confident leader with good communication and organisational skills
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and maintenance practices
* Flexible and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
* Willing to work shifts and complete relevant training (e.g., Electrical Safety, First Aid)
Shift; 4 on - 4 off, 7am - 7pm
