I'm recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to join a high-performing engineering team at a business based in Middlesbrough.

The company manufactures popular party foods like bhajis, samosas, onion rings, and spring rolls, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and drive for continuous improvement in a role where your impact will be both visible and valued.

What You'll Do:

As Engineering Team Leader, you'll:

Maintain, develop and improve plant machinery and services.
Lead by example in responding quickly and efficiently to breakdowns.
Work on PLC and HMI-controlled production equipment, experience in this area is highly desirable.
Take a proactive approach to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and project improvement schemes.
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to the highest Health & Safety and Quality Standards.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct general mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Carry out fault finding, inspections, installations, and servicing.
Work with electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (wire & belt), etc.
Support training and development within the team.
Be actively involved in improvement initiatives across the site.What You Need:

A proven track record in engineering with an electrical bias.
Solid experience in fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance.
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
