Our global pharmaceutical client based in Milton Keynes are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Customer Service & Stock Allocation Assistant who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will ensure that stock is allocated accurately and efficiently to meet customer needs, taking into account volume received, market share, and demand. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear, timely communication and proactive problem-solving. Your ability to anticipate customer requirements, respond to queries with empathy and precision, and maintain a seamless flow of information will be essential in enhancing the overall customer experience. This role combines analytical rigour with a strong service mindset, ensuring that every stock movement supports our commitment to customer satisfaction.
The role is a full-time temporary contract position initially signed off for 11 months with a possibility of an extensions. This position offers an hourly rate of £14.72 - £15.38 per hour, depending on experience plus 25 days holiday pro rata and other benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the team with basic stock tracking and allocation tasks using internal systems.
* Assist in processing customer orders and responding to basic stock-related queries (e.g., availability, delivery updates).
* Communicate with distribution partners to confirm delivery details and share relevant instructions.
* Maintain accurate records of stock movements and customer communications.
* Provide administrative support to the customer service and supply chain teams.
* Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
* Help prepare simple reports and update spreadsheets as needed.
* Organise and maintain digital filing systems and office documentation.
* Support senior team members with ad hoc administrative tasks.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred.
* Stock administration experience
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
* Knowledge of SAP beneficial
* Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organised.
* Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with different teams.
* Any business-related qualifications are a plus, but not essential, but a positive attitude and reliability are essential
