Are you fluent in Welsh and passionate about supporting children in their education journey? Whether you're experienced or looking to kick-start your career in education, this is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in a Welsh-medium secondary school in Cardiff.

We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals to support pupils aged 11–18 with additional learning needs (ALN/SEN). You’ll be helping to create a safe, inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs (SEN), through the medium of Welsh
Assist teachers in delivering tailored, engaging lessons and activities
Support learning using sensory tasks, structured development plans, and practical classroom activities
Foster emotional, social, and academic growth in pupils
Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and well-being
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff to deliver the best outcomes for learners
What We’re Looking For:

Fluent Welsh speaker – written and spoken fluency is essential
Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
(We welcome applicants with backgrounds in youth work, care work, sports coaching, mentoring, or voluntary roles)
Kind, patient, and resilient attitude with strong communication skills
A passion for inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs
Essential Requirements:

Willingness to apply for an Enhanced DBS check (we’ll support you through the process)
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – guidance provided
Able to provide 2 references from the past 24 months
